Andrew W. Anderson, father of Art Anderson, prominent Minturn man, passed away in Denver November 19 after a long illness, at the age of 75.
Born in Sweden, Mr. Anderson came to Colorado in 1892 and had made Leadville his home for 38 years, being engaged in mining there. Because of poor health, he retired a number of years ago, and had made his home part of that time in Minturn with his son, Art. He was with a daughter, Mrs. Anna Anderson, in Denver at the time of his death.
Funeral services were held in Leadville Thursday of last week, at the Evangelical Lutheran church, with the Rev. John L. Benson officiating. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery in Leadville.
Surviving also are two other daughters, Mrs. Ellen Johnson and Mrs. Hildur McDonald both of Leadville; four sons, Walter of Denver, Arthur W. of Minturn, Oscar of Berkeley, Calif., and Roy of Fort Collins.
