Death of John Arbaugh
John Arbaugh, more than twenty five years a resident of Eagle county, passed away at his ranch home four miles east of Eagle Tuesday morning after a brief illness with acute pneumonia.
Mr. Arbaugh was one of the early residents of Leadville, where for a number of years he conducted a meat market and about twenty-six years ago he and his wife moved to this county, having for a time lived on the ranch on Lake creek known then as the creamery ranch, and now owned by Carl Norgaard. Later he purchased the little ranch on the Eagle river adjoining what is now the Red Mountain ranch where he and his wife have since lived. He was taken down with a bad cold about ten days ago, and pneumonia soon developed, causing his death.
Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon at the ranch home at 2:00 o'clock. The body will then be taken to Leadville for burial.
Mr. Arbaugh is survived by his widow and several brothers, the latter living in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Mr. and Mrs. Arbaugh had no children.
