Robert Allen Clark, 59, a reside of Eagle, died at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Grand Junction. Clark was born the son of John and Callie Ferguson Clark up Brush Creek, near Eagle, on July 28, 1921. He grew up in the Eagle area, later graduating from Eagle High School. He went on to Mesa College and Colorado A&M. After that he enlisted during WWII in 1941. On Dec. 6, 1944, he married Lillian Ida Suits in Santa Monica, CA. After leaving the Air Force in 1945, they returned to Brush Creek and farmed for 1 year. Afterwards, they farmed in Phoenix, AZ. Clark then started working for Northrop Nortronics in Hawthrone, CA; then as a field representative for Aeronutronics, a division of Philco Ford in Newport Beach, CA; and then later for Davidson Optronics in West Covina, CA. Clark belonged to the American Legion, he was also a private pilot and loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, Eagle; one daughter, Mrs. Herb Arnetta Eaton of Eagle; two sisters, Mrs. Bob (Virginia) McIlveen, Eagle and Mrs. Lloyd (Johnnie) Greve, Leadville; two grandchildren, Tiffeny and Michael Eaton of Eagle. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle with Father Thomas Kelly officiating. Burial was in the Sunset View Cemetery.
