HOWARD BARDSLEY DIED AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS.
Howard Lee BARDSLEY, Eagle County road superintendent, died in the Glenwood hospital Friday evening, June 16, after an illness of a few hours.
Mr. BARDSLEY was born Oct. 23, 1898 at Antonito, Colo. and lived in the San Luis Valley and in Oklahoma before coming to the Wolcott area of Eagle County 48 years ago.
He married Bertha James on March 2, 1920 at Glenwood Springs.
Mr. BARDSLEY served during World War I with the 307th Tank Corps of the Army.
He had been with the Eagle County road department for many years, and was superintendent at the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife of Wolcott; two sons: H. Lee of Englewood, Colo.; Harry D. of Waterlook, Iowa; six grandchildren and two sisters: Irene TULLEY of Denver; and Louise OIERCE (Pierce?), Big Ford, Montana.
Farnum Mortuary of Glenwood Springs was in charge of arrangements and graveside services were held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery Tuesday, June 20.
