Norm Gambrell, 70,
Grand Junction, died Oct. 28,
2010, in rural Mesa County.
Visitation will be from 4 to
8 p.m. Thursday at Callahan-
Edfast Mortuary. Services will
be at 11 a.m. Friday at Callahan-
Edfast, followed by burial
at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial
Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Mr. Gambrell owned a hobby
store.

Pat; three daughters, Connie
Wieberg of Clifton, Debra

and Jackie Waugh of Colorado
Springs; four brothers, Jay
Rea and Virl Rea, both of Salt
Lake City, Gene Rea of Grand
Junction and Darrell Rea of
Palisade; three sisters, Elaine
McCullough and Wilma Bachley,
both of Riverton, Utah, and
Susie Hatch of Grand Junction;
nine grandchildren; and fi ve
great-grandchildren.

Norman Lee Gambrell went
home to his Savior on Thursday,
October 28, 2010. He suffered a
fatal heart attack while hunting,
one of his many favorite hobbies.
Norman was born on June 25,
1940 in Albuquerque, NM to Le-
Roy and Loise (Duncan) Gambrell.
The family moved to Colorado
when Norman was ten. He
attended school there through the
tenth grade. Norman joined the
Army in 1957, where he received his G.E.D. He was in the Lebanon
Dispute and was a military prison guard towards the end of his service.
After that he was in the reserves for three years.
Norman married Patricia Jean Lehn on December 14, 1961 in
Fruita, CO and raised three daughters; Connie Wieberg of Clifton,
Debra Crawford of Grand Junction, and Jackie Waugh of Colorado
Springs.
He worked at United Redi Mix for 18 years, Holsum Bakery for
five years, and then owned and operated his own business, Norm's
RC Hobbies, for 19 years before he retired in 2007.
Norman is survived by his wife, Pat Gambrell; his daughters, Connie
(Mike) Wieberg, Debra (Dusty) Crawford, and Jackie (John)
Waugh; brothers and sisters, Elaine McCullough, Jay Rea, Wilma
Bachley, Gene Rea, Virl Rea, Susie Hatch, and Darrell Rea; nine
grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Gambrell; sister,
Louise Weaver; sister, Bonnie Clingerman; niece, Holly Whiting;
and mother, Loise Rea.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Mike Decker
and Alan and Seth Ritchey, who helped during this tragedy.
Arrangements are under the care of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. A
visitation will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 4 - 8:00
p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. The funeral service will be Friday,
November 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary, with military
honors following at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western
Colorado at 1:00 p.m.
