Gunter K. BERG died at the D. & R.G. Hospital in Salida, Tuesday, March 2nd, from an attack of flu. Mr. BERG has been a resident of Eagle county for over twenty years, first settling on Bachelor Creek near Avon, where he took up a ranch, living there ten years, then selling out to Gulling OFFERSON.
He was in the employ of the Empire Zinc company for a number of years, working at the mill. The last few years he has been track walker for the D. & R.G. between Pando and Red Cliff. A faithful worker in any capacity. He was a naturalized citizen, being a native of Norway. He was buried in Salida Thursday.
