Glenn Molton Bailey, longtime
barber and resident of Grand
Junction, CO was called home to
be with the Lord on February 25,
2011. He was 72 years of age.
Glenn was born March 26, 1938
in Tucumcari, NM to Ernest R.
and Bertha M. (Hendrix) Bailey.
He owned and operated the Hill
Top Barber Shop for 50 years
where he married his wife of 50 years, Belva Park Bailey. Glenn
served in the US Army from 1956 ~ 1959.
He is survived by his wife, Belva E. Bailey; two daughters and
sons-in-law, Stephanie (Steven) Markert and Shelley (Troy) Taylor;
six grandchildren, Amber, Jennifer, Mindy, Matthew, Dylan and
Jordan and three great grandchildren, Liberti, Jacob and Taylor all
of whom he loved very much. His parents and one brother, Clint
preceded him in death.
Glenn was a quiet, gentle man who loved his family and took special
pride in his daughters and grandchildren; they were his world.
He loved being in the out of doors, hunting, fishing and riding his
mules, especially loving the Uncompahgre area.
Visitation will be at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on Tuesday, March
1, 2011 from 4 - 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on
Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Covenant Baptist
Church with Reverend Richard Sipes officiating. Burial will be
at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. Memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Western
Colorado, 3090B N. 12th St., Grand Junction, CO 81506. Arrangements
are under the care and direction of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
