Jeanne Dodson of Steamboat Springs, 1162 Oak Street, died Feb. 17, 2001, at the Memorial Hospital in Craig. She was 77.
#She was born April 2, 1923, in Milan, Mo., to Oliver Wayne and Mary Isabel (Sloan) Wilson.
She married Jim Dodson in 1943, and they moved to Steamboat Springs in the 1950s.
She was a wife and mother who liked music and telling jokes.
She enjoyed writing poetry and had some of her work published.
She is survived by a son, Joe of St. Louis; four daughters, Diane of Austin, Mary Pat of Littleton, Jean Anne of Breckenridge, and Lisa of Steamboat Springs; 12 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jim, Jan. 24, 1993.
The funeral mass was at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 22, 2001, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Steamboat Springs.
Father Robert Whalen presided.
Interment was at the Steamboat Springs Cemetery. Petersen Funeral Home of Steamboat was in charge of funeral arrangements.
