Ruth M. Muender, passed away at the Hospice Care facility on
Sunday, July 22, 2012. She was 82 years old.
Ruth was born to Ralph and Alice Marsh in Montrose, Colorado on
June 7, 1930. She was raised in Montrose, CO, where she met and
married Jerry L. Moore on May 28, 1948. They lived in Montrose,
outside of Pagosa Springs, and eventually settled in Grand Junction.
Ruth married Clifford Muender on April 22, 1965. He was the love
of her life and sadly passed away on February 18, 1969.
Ruth ran a newspaper route on the Redlands for several years; her
children still talk about getting up at 4:00 a.m. to keep Mom company
and seeing deer and even the buffalo that used to be located
close to the Monument. She also was a well liked waitress over the
years. She started at the old Gay Johnson's, and later worked at
Sambo's, Ramada Inn, Cedar Square Inn, and retired from the
Starvin Arvin's that was located by the Brach's Market on the Redlands.
She was an avid gardener, and was happiest out puttering with
her flowers and vegetables. She was a member of the Fraternal Order
of Eagles #595 for 38 years, where she loved to meet her sisters
and go dancing.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Alice Marsh;
her husband, Clifford Muender; sister, Clara Marsh, and brother,
"Rocky" Marsh.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Gary) Greenfield of Farmington,
N.M.; Danny Moore of Madisonville, KY; Roy (Susan)
Moore and Frank (Tammy) Moore of Grand Junction, CO, and
Carmen (John) Wallers of Plains, MT; 12 grandchildren; 27
great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at Orchard Mesa Cemetery, where her
ashes will be interred with her parents, on Saturday July 28, 2012, at
11:00 a.m.

Ruth Marie Muender, 82, Grand Junction, died July 22, 2012,
at Hospice Care Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Orchard Mesa Municipal
Cemetery.
Ms. Muender was a waitress.
Surviviors include three sons, Danny Moore of Madisonville, Ky.,
Roy Moore and Frank Moore, both of Grand Junction; two daughters,
Mary Greenfield of Farmington, N.M., and Carman Wallers of
Plains, Mont.; two sisters, Betty Taylor and Thelma Marsh, both of
Grand Junction; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild.
