Michael G. Peppler, 63, of Mead, died of lung cancer May 20, 2012, at his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1949, in Flint, Mich., to Robert and Georgia (Sopp) Peppler. He attended Fairview High School in Boulder before enlisting in the Army. Mike resided in Boulder for 22 years and also in Steamboat Springs for 28 years before moving to Mead.
Mike worked as a construction manager for Mountain Bell, U.S. West and Qwest for 34 years. He was a member of the American Legion, the National Rifle Association and the Harley Owners Group.
Mike married Suzanne Sena on Jan. 1, 2006, in Mead.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; two children, Chad Peppler and wife, Wanda, and Amy Fry and husband, Daryll; brother, Pat Peppler and wife, Patty; two sisters, Jan Wood and husband, John, and Lynn Begun and husband, Jonathan; five grandchildren, Tim, Amy and Kim Taylor, and Thane Peppler and Truman Fry; and one great-grandson, Tristan Taylor.
A celebration of Mike’s life was held May 26, 2012, at the home of Pat and Patty Peppler, 346 Fifth St., in Mead. Greenwood and Myers Funeral Services is handling the arrangements. For complete information, visit www.greenwood
