Dwain T. Jackson, 88, Grand Junction, died June 17, 2012, at
Larchwood Inns.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at Clifton Christian
Church. Burial will be at Cedaredge Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; one son, Jeffrey of Hendersonville,
Tenn.; two daughters, Deborah Bray of Anchorage, Alaska,
and Melanie Jackson of Grand Junction; one sister, Nance
Richards of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.

Dwain Thompson Jackson was
born on January 12, 1924, at
Blackfoot, ID to William Harrison
Jackson and Hazel Edith Thompson
Jackson, the youngest of
four children. When he was one
year old the family relocated to
Cedaredge, CO, where he grew
up and graduated from Cedaredge
High School in 1942. He
attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. He sold insurance
and securities.
Dwain married Donna McNulty on April 16, 1961, in Grand Junction,
and they celebrated 50 years together in 2011.
Music was very important to Dwain and through the years he sang
many solos, as well as participated in a number of choirs, choral
groups and theatrical groups. He was instrumental in establishing
the Bookcliff Barbershop Harmony chapter in Grand Junction. He
joined Mt. Lamborn Lodge No. 102, A.F.& A.M. in Hotchkiss, CO
in 1946, and was currently a member of Mesa Lodge No. 55 in
Grand Junction. He had also been a member of Grand Junction
Sayre's Toastmaster Club, and he was a member of Clifton Christian
Church. Dwain enjoyed reading, and was a real history buff.
Dwain was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Barton Jackson,
and sister, June Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Donna;
daughters, Deborah (Joe) Bray, Anchorage, AK, and Melanie Jackson,
Grand Junction; son, Jeffrey Jackson, Hendersonville, TN;
grandsons, Aaron (Jessica) Bray, San Antonio, TX, and Devin Bray
and granddaughter, Julianna Bray, both of Anchorage, AK;
great-granddaughter, Alice Elizabeth Bray, San Antonio, TX, and
sister, Nance Richards, Tucson, AZ.
Services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012, at Clifton Christian
Church at 10:00 a.m. and a graveside service will be at the Cedaredge
Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
