Nancy McHugh Mines, 80, of Edwards, died at her home Saturday.
She was born Oct. 17, 1932, to James and Mary McHugh. Born and raised in Chicago, she graduated from Mundelein College in Chicago with a B.A. in philosophy and minor in economics.
Nancy moved to Boulder with her husband, Tom, and their seven children, then retired to Edwards in 1990. Nancy’s sports passions were tennis and skiing. She skied well into her 70s. She loved spending time with her husband, Tom, their seven children and spouses, eight grandchildren and friends. She was a life-long learner and fabulous role model. She will be terribly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Mines; sons Mike Mines, Tom Mines and Jim Mines; daughters Chris Mines Roe, Kathy Mines Manley, Susan Mines and Joan Mines Sego; and brother James McHugh.
Services will be at the Beaver Creek Chapel at 11 a.m. on Friday. Her ashes will be placed in the Living Wall in the Minturn Cemetery.
