Donald M. Rolando, Sr., died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Sandrock Ridge Care Center in Craig.
Donald was born in Mount Harris to Joseph and Blanch (Waggoner) Rolando on Sept. 12, 1934.
Don served in the Korean War and when he returned to Hayden, he married the love of his life, Clara Grace Julian, on June 4, 1960.
From their union, sons were born: Donald Jr., Daryl and Douglas.
Don soon moved to Denver and went to work for United Airlines, where he spent his entire working career of 40 years.
He retired in 2000 and spent his time working on his house and his yard, both of which he was very proud.
Don was blessed with six grandchildren: Clifford, Cassandra, Samantha, Vince, Geoff and Aimee. He also has four great-grandchildren: Isabella, Alyvia, Gavin and Madilynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Orville and Gene, sisters Mamie and Mary, and infant son David.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph Rolando, Sr., of Riddle, Ore.
He will be greatly missed by all who know him and by his family whose memory of him will never be forgotten.
