Dr. Olin Edison Wyatt, loving father of Marianne Hagemeier and father-in-law to Bryce Hagemeier, passed away in his sleep Dec. 4, 2010, in Vincennes, Ind. Dr. Wyatt had celebrated his 90th birthday one week earlier.
He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Dr. Wyatt practiced general dentistry from 1953 to 1960 in Okmulgee, Okla., and orthodontics from 1961 to 1976 in Fullerton, Calif., and from 1976 to 1988 in Vincennes, Ind. Dr. Wyatt held an MBA and Bachelor of Science from the Univer­sity of Oklahoma and was a lifelong Sooner fan. He graduated from the University of Missouri School of Dentistry in 1953 and returned for his Spec­ialty MS in orthodontics in 1961.
He was president of the Fullerton Kiwanis Club and a life member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Wyatt married the former Nona Jane Markland in 1950. He retired in 1988. He became a wonderful woodworker in retirement and had a passion for learning and knowledge and read until the day he died. He passed that love of study and reading along to all three of his children.
He is survived by his three children, Mark and Matt, both of Summit County, and Marianne, of Steamboat Springs; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Donald; and by his loving wife, Nona.
He was a great father and husband and will be greatly missed by his family.
