Earl Dean Resner was born March 2, 1938, in Barton County, Kansas
to Edmund and Amelia (Wegele) Resner.
Earl married Anita Marlene Robertson June 7, 1959, in Great
Bend, Kansas. She died July 26, 1970. He married Betty Keck in
1972, they later divorced.
Earl was parts manager for John Deer and Gibson Titus & Stafford
in Great Bend, and was tools salesman for Snap-on Tools and Mac
Tool in Colby and Grand Junction. He was a member of the Western
Slope ATV Club and was a charter member of the Grand Junction
Snowmobile Club. He enjoyed traveling, restoring antique
tractors, and attending tractor shows and pulls.
Earl was a Grand Junction resident since 1972, coming from Colby
and Great Bend, Kansas. He was a United States Navy veteran.
He is survived by two sisters, Frances Maier of Russell, KS, and
Norma Wiedeman of Hutchinson, KS; brother, Robert Resner; companion,
Barbara Grace of Grand Junction, and step-son, Kim Lagh -
lin of Vernal, UT. He was preceded in death by three brothers,
Wilmer, Clarence, and Clinton.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Bryant
Funeral Home in Great Bend, KS. Reverend James A. Strasen will
officiate.

Earl Dean Resner, age 75, died
May 29, 2013, at his home in
Grand Junction, Colorado.
He was born March 2, 1938, at
Barton County, Kansas, the son of
Edmund and Amelia (Wegele)
Resner. Earl was baptized as an
infant at the Emmanuel Lutheran
Church in Russel, KS. He married
Anita Marlene Robertson
June 7, 1959, at Great Bend, KS. She died July 26, 1970, in a car accident.
He married Betty Keck in 1972, and they were later divorced.
Earl was a parts manager for John Deer and Gison Titus & Stafford
in Great Bend, KS. He was a tool salesman for Snap-on tools and
Mac Tools in Colby, KS, and Grand Junction, CO.
Earl was a resident of Grand Junction since 1972, coming from
Colby, KS, and Great Bend, KS. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He
was a charter member of both Western Slope ATV and Snowmobile
Clubs. He enjoyed riding his ATV, fishing, and traveling. He retired
at the age of 42, and ten years later, started restoring old tractors and
cars. This was his love. He enjoyed the antique tractor shows a nd
traveling to different states. He enjoyed people and had many l asting
friendships.
Survivors include two sisters, Frances Maier, Russel, KS, and
Norma Wiedeman, Hutchison, KS; brother, Robert Resner of KS;
companion, Barbara Grace of Grand Junction, CO; step-son, Kim
Laughlin of Vernal, UT, and Annel Jones of OH. He was preceded
in death by three brothers, Wilmer, Clarence, and Clinton.
Memorial donations are suggested to HopeWest Hospice of Western
Colorado.
