WELLINGTON

Bernard "Butch" Wellington passed away at his home in Denver June 10. He was 79 years old.

Wellington was born in Edwards in 1902. He attended the local school there and for many years engaged in farming and ranching.

In 1939 he married Kathryn Yama in Oak Creek, Colo. The family moved to Denver in 1942 where he was employed by the Denver Water Board. He retired in 1968.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Edsil of Los Angeles and Leslie of Denver; one grandson, Dale; three sisters, Lucia Spalding of Florence, Colo., Edna Correll of Daly City, Calif. and Esther Klatt of Edwards.
