SERVICES WERE HELD SUNDAY FOR AUGUSTA NELSON.
Funeral services were held in Minturn Sunday for Mrs. Augusta NELSON, who died in the Gilman Hospital July 13 at the age of 78.
Mrs. NELSON had long been a resident of Minturn, and was a widow of the late Ben NELSON, whom she married in Red Cliff in 1895. The couple were well known throughout the eastern end of Eagle county, where Mr. NELSON was engaged in ranching.
Mrs. NELSON was born in Falkenberg, Sweden in 1872 and came to this country at an early age, making Eagle county her home for the greater part of her useful life.
The Nelsons were parents to four children, all of whom are living and are Sigfred NELSON, Harriett WHITMORE and Arthur NELSON, all of Minturn and Esther DAKIN of San Diego, Calif. She is also survived by six grand children and five great-grandchildren.
Reverend CHAMBERLAIN of the Presbyterian Church officiated at the funeral in Minturn and interment was in Riverside cemetery at Minturn. Music was furnished by Irma COLLINS who sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere: and "Saved by Grace."
