OSCAR NELSON DIED IN DENVER SUNDAY.
Oscar NELSON, 72, former resident of Minturn, died Sunday in Denver after a long illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday in Howard Mortuary in Denver and burial was in Crown Hill.
Mr. NELSON was born Jan. 21, 1894 in Minturn, the son of prominent pioneer county family. He ranched in the Minturn area and married Rhoda YODER, an Eagle County Health Nurse, in 1944. When he retired he moved to Denver, and to Lakewood in 1946.
Mr. NELSON was a member of Lakewood Chapter 1777, BPOE.
He is survived by his wife of 7090 W 26th Ave., Lakewood; two sisters Mrs. Hilma GUSTAFSON of Wheatridge and Mrs. Anna GUIRE of Glenwood and a brother, Albert of Glenwood, all former Minturn residents.
