Kenneth E. Dillard, 86, Grand Junction, died March 13, 2015,
at his home.
Private family services are planned.
Mr. Dillard retired from the U.S. Navy in 1965 and as a purchasing
agent for the Grand Junction Regional Center in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy “Dottie.”

Ken was born on August 7,
1928, to Lucien and Jessie
Dillard in Winona, Missouri.
The family moved to the
Orchard Mesa area in Grand
Junction in 1936. In 1945,
Kenneth joined the Navy and
proudly served his country for
20 years, retiring in 1965.
After returning to Grand
Junction, Ken began his
career as the purchasing agent for the Grand Junction Regional
Center until his second retirement in 1987.
Ken enjoyed keeping busy, traveling, and he especially loved
to play golf. He was able to play 18 holes twice week until
October, 2014. Ken was actively involved in the Masonic Lodge
for 51 years and the Fleet Reserve.
Ken is survived by wife of 42 years, Dorothy Dillard. He is
also survived by sister, Wanda Ogle of Northglenn, CO; brother
and sister-in-law, Vernon and Barbara Dillard; brother-in-law,
Buddy Norwood. He was preceded in death was his sister, Lena
Norwood.
Ken adored his children, grandchildren, and especially his
great-grandchildren. Along with several nieces and nephews.
At Ken’s request, no services will be held.
