Wayne Snowden, 86, New
Castle, died Sept. 17, 2015, at his
home. Services will be at 1 p.m.
Thursday at Martin Mortuary
in Grand Junction.
Mr. Snowden was an auctioneer
and saxophonist.
He is survived by one son,
Bud of New Castle; six grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.

Wayne Snowden went to be
with the Lord on September
17, 2015. He passed away at
home in New Castle, CO,
with his family, at the age of
86.
Wayne was born to Luesland
and Bessie (Whitehead)
Snowden on August 17, 1929,
in New Raymor, CO. He spent his childhood in Pleasant Valley,
CO.
He was a man of many trades, including auctioneer, realtor,
saxophonist, and carpentry. He also served in the United States
Coast Guard.
Wayne was a hard-working, compassionate man, as well as a
devoted father and grandfather, who always had a loving smile
on his face. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his nine brothers and sisters, as
well as his parents. Wayne is survived by his only son, Buddy
Leon Snowden; many grandchildren; and many greatgrandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Martin Mortuary on
Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 1:00 p.m.
