LaVelle James Dolan

LaVelle James Dolan was born June 11, 1944, to Floyd H. Dolan, and Grace Rosa Wentz, in Fruita, Colorado. He passed away peacefully on October 25, 2015. He was deeply loved by his wife, Joy, and by many family members and friends. LaVelle had an open heart to everyone and everything. He was loved and will be missed by all.
For 50 years, LaVelle owned and operated a successful family
trucking business, Dolan Trucking. He played an integral part in building the roads throughout the Valley and surrounding areas.
LaVelle was a decorated Veteran of the United States Marine
Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Joy; sons, Lavelle, Jr. and Allen,
Grand Junction; Spencer, Glenwood Springs; daughters, Patricia Ann Griegos, Denver; Mariah and Melody, Fruita; brothers, Dannie, North Carolina; Randy, Aurora, CO, and David, Fruita, CO; sisters, Rosa, Appleton and Jeannie, Fruita; 13 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Grace, and two brothers, Kenney and William.
In lieu of attending the service, please join the family for the
celebratory pot luck, Friday, at the Fruita Seventh Day Adventist Church at 214 West Pabor Ave. at 2:30 p.m.
