MARGUERITE STEIN DIED IN DENVER.
Eagle friends were deeply saddened Tuesday when they learned that Mrs. Herman STEIN passed away in Sands House, Denver, a few hours earlier.
Mrs. STEIN became ill last fall and had surgery when it was discovered she had cancer. She has been in hospitals most of the time since Christmas.
The Steins made their home in Eagle for most of their married life. When Mr. STEIN was county treasurer, and later county assessor, his wife assisted him in the offices.
Last May they sold their home in Eagle and took a trip through the northwest, Canada and Alaska which kept them traveling all summer. They returned to Colorado last fall and bought a home in Denver.
Rosary for Mrs. STEIN is this evening at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle and Requiem High Mass, Friday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Mary's, with Father Thomas STONE officiating.
Miller Mortuary of Eagle is in charge of arrangements and burial in Sunset View Cemetery.
Mrs. STEIN is survived by her husband and two children, Alan of San Leandro, Calif., and Mrs. Vernon (Margie) VICK of Denver, and five grandchildren.
She is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mary BELDING of Eagle; Mrs. Eva BUCKLEY of Silver Plume; Mrs. Anna DESPLAIN of Los Angeles and Mrs. Emma GRANNER of Post Falls, Idaho and one brother, John FOREST of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
