A woman who lived in Eagle County for more than seven decades died Saturday.
Nina Virginia Brannon Nolan died Aug. 23 at the Glen Valley Care Center in Glenwood Springs. She was 93.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gypsum Methodist Church in Gypsum. Pastor Jeff Hanson will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. today at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home in Glenwood Springs, 405 W. 7th St.
Nolan was born Feb. 5, 1910, in Pornum, Okla., to Nathan Brannon and Nancy Elvington Brannon.
She married Kenneth “Dude” Nolan on Jan. 3, 1929, in Tulsa, Okla., who preceeded her in death.
She was a homemaker and mother, and lived in Eagle County for 74 years.
She is survived by Roy “Pete” Nolan, daughter-in-law Shirley Nolan and grandson Cory Nolan; brother Harvey Brannon and his wife, Berniece, of Stilwell, Okla.; and sister-in-law Buena Metzler of Cheyenne, Wyo.
During her years in Eagle County, Nolan was active in the Gypsum United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and the United Methodist Women.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Gypsum Methodist Church.
