Daniel Mark Kettlewell, 32, of Edwards died peacefully Dec. 16, 2004, after his family called “a valiant battle” with cancer. Kettlewell was born March 27, 1972 in Gloucester in the United Kingdom.

Kettlewell was the manager of Remington’s Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. Previously, Kettlewell worked at The Little Nell Hotel in Aspen and traversed the globe while working onboard MV Queen Elizabeth 2, where he met his wife, Deirdre. “Daniel’s passion for life, love, laughter, food and drink was experienced by all who knew him and his legacy will live forever,” his wife said. Daniel is survived by his wife, Deirdre, who’s also known as “Mousie”; his parents, Richard and Barbara Kettlewell; brother Nathan and sister-in-law Min; his “Irish” parents, Thomas and Joan O’Toole; his sisters-in-law, Emer, Grainne and Maeve; and many friends around the world.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Beaver Creek Chapel. Dan Bosco will officiate. No flowers please, donations to the Lance Armstrong Foundation (www.laf.com).”Daniel wants us all to live strong,” his wife said.”Deirdre and Daniel’s families want to express their sincerest thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch who have given the most amazing support, kindness and love not only to Dee and Dan but to their extended families and friends,” she said.

At Daniel’s request he was cremated, arrangements have been entrusted to Moore Howa
