Robert "Bob" Faudree
March 23, 1932 - June 13, 2016
Robert "Bob" Faudree, 84, went to our Father in Heaven on June 13, 2016. Bob always had a joke or story to tell to anyone that would listen. He will be truly missed by family and friends.
Bob was born in Chester, West Virginia, on March 23, 1932, to Robert Franklin Faudree and Irene Helen Reber. He spent his childhood in Chester, graduating from Chester High School. Bob attended Mount Union College for two years before entering the Air Force, USAF-SS, in 1952 and was ranked as an Airman 1st Class in the Korean War.
He returned from the service and married Lily Lake, and from
that union had two children, Robert Mark Faudree and Leslie
Danille Faudree. That later ended in divorce. On July 27, 1991, he married Eva Ouret and with Eva came three children, Larry (Marian) Ouret of Loveland, CO; Julie (Rick) Jussel, and Cathy (Ted) Sommers from Grand Junction; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Bob worked as a police officer for the City of Grand Junction
and as a Funeral Director at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. He had
many stories about police work and then about the mortuary. He had quite a sense of humor and enjoyed sharing his experience with everyone. He was a former member of the Orchard Mesa Lions and the Elks Lodge.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Dolores Jean Litton. He is survived his wife, Eva, and the above listed family.
The family would like to thank St. Mary’s Hospital and the
Community Living Center at the Veterans Hospital for taking
such great care of Bob through his illness.
In lieu of flowers, please make your memorial contributions to
Veterans Hospital, CLC Hospice Fund, 2121 North Avenue,
Grand Junction, CO 81501.
A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on June 23, with a memorial
