Jerome Wallace Corbett, 75, died at Valley View hospital in Glenwood on Thursday, Nov. 12. Corbett was born on April 30, 1906 in Watkins Glen, NY, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Corbett. The family lived in various places in the US, where Corbett's father was a government agronomist. Corbett graduated from jerome, Idaho high School and in 1930 graduated from Benjamin Franklin University. He married Stella Johnston in Harrisburg, PA on July 8, 1932. Corbett served in the US Navy during World War II. After retirement in 1970, Corbett and his wife moved to Eagle. Corbett belonged to the masons and the Shriners. he was past Master of the Sioux City Masonic Lodge 615 AF and AM, a member of the Eagle Easter Star, Chapter 86; and served as the Rainbow dad for the Eagle Rainbow Girls Assembly 43 for three years. Survivors include his wife, Stella; two sons, Jerome W. Corbett, Jr. of OK and Robert D. Dennison of Eagle; brother Louis L. Corbett of Charleston, SC and four grandchildren. Funeral services for Jerome W. Corbett were held 2 p.m. on Monday, November 16 at the Eagle Methodist church with Rev. Steve Goodier officiating.
