Robert D. Price, 80, Grand Junction, died Feb. 18, 2017, in
Grand Junction.
Services will take place at 2 p.m. March 25 at the Redlands United
Methodist Church.
He was a purchasing agent.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle; one son, Douglas of Boulder;
and one daughter, Leslie Atwood-Price.

Robert "Bob" Dale Price
March 25, 1936 - February 18, 2017
Robert "Bob" Dale Price, of Grand Junction, passed away on February 18, 2017, at HopeWest.
Bob was born and raised in Paonia, CO to Margaret (Sharpnack) and Jesse Price on March 25, 1936. He graduated from Paonia High in 1954, Mesa College in 1956, and earned a BA at Western
State College in 1962. He served in the Army Security Agency
for two years.
While at Mesa College, he met and married Gayle Atwood.
Together, they have to children, Doug and Leslie. Bob and
Gayle made Boulder their home for over 30 years while Bob
worked at the City of Boulder as a purchasing agent. After 32
years, Bob retired from the City, at which time he and Gayle
moved back to Grand Junction where he enjoyed golf, wood
working, watching football, and sports car racing.
Bob was a loving husband, father and a devoted friend and
neighbor.
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gayle Price of Grand
Junction; son, Douglas Price of Boulder, and daughter Leslie
Atwood-Price of Grand Junction; brother-in-law, James (Susan)
Lyons of Castle Rock as well as many nieces and nephews. He
was preceded in death by both parents, and a sister.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Relands United
Methodist Church on what would have been Bob’s 81st birthday, Saturday, March 25, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the
Redlands United Methodist Church or HopeWest Hospice.
