Born in Dover, Missouri in 1876, Mr. Lay had 'been a resident of Eagle county since 1935, employed as a ranch laborer in Eagle and Gypsum areas, until failing health sent •him to the Samaritan Hospital In Denver in July, 1944. There are no known living relatives. Funeral services and burial were in Denver.
