Marian “Sam” Marti passed away January 11, 2018 at the age of 71, losing her battle with leukemia. She was born April 21, 1946 in Cheboygan MI. She moved to Steamboat Springs in 1977 where she was a high school teacher until she retired. She was also active in the community and served on many committees that were environmentally concerned.

Sam enjoyed life, happily embracing one adventure after another, encouraging others to do the same. She was an avid hunter, expert mushroomer and worldwide traveler. A service was held 1/14/18 in Steamboat. With happy memories, we will miss Sam.
