C h a r l e s
"Chuck/Charlie/Chick" Hardy
Hollis was born on April 9,
1951, in Kellogg, Idaho and
passed away on July 16, 2017,
in Grand Junction, Colorado.
He is survived by his
devoted wife, Charlie
"Darlene" and brother, Larry
(Virginia); father to Sarah,
Sharlet, William, and Mary;
uncle to Elizabeth "Lisa" (Timothy), Carolyn, and Roy;
grandfather of seven; great-grandfather of two; great-uncle of
five, and brother-in-law of six. Charles also leaves behind his
beloved dogs, Sunday, Snoopy, and Toto as well as his work
family at Sam’s Club, where he had retired after several years of
service.
Charles was kind to all and generous to a fault, never saying an
unkind word to anyone. He was inseparable from wife, Darlene,
going on many fishing, boating, camping, and hiking adventures
together. When Charles was not in nature, he was planning a
trip outdoors. An avid photography enthusiast, Charles enjoyed
taking photos of friends, family, landscapes, eagles, and
petroglyphs, which he had a passion for researching and
exploring. As a devoted son, he was the long-time live-in
caretaker of his mother, sufferer of dementia.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 28, 2017, at
Martin Mortuary, 550 North Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado

10, 1920 - April 29, 2003), and brother, Mark Roy Hollis (April
26, 1945 - August 17, 2001).
