Molly Lucy Stucker, 91, Grand Junction, died Nov. 21, 2017, at Mantey Heights Care Center. Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Daniel of Hotchkiss and Paul D. of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Diane M. Molly L. Stucker October 14, 1926 - November 21, 2017
Molly Lucy Stucker, 91, passed away on November 21, 2017, at Mantey Heights Nursing Home. She was a resident of Grand Junction, CO for a combined 43 years. Molly was born in Grand Junction to Preston and Mildred Dean on October 14, 1926. She spent her childhood there, graduating from Grand Junction High School in 1944. After graduating, she left Grand Junction to attend Loretto Heights College in Denver. Shortly after college, she married her high school sweetheart, Paul Stucker on October 28, 1945 in Del Mar, CA. Molly and Paul lived in many different places throughout their lifetimes including Ford and Spokane, WA; Elko, NV; Fredericktown, MO; Midwest City, OK; Grants, NM; Camden, TN; Walnut Creek, CA; Namibia, Africa; Pasadena, CA, and finally resting back in Grand Junction, CO. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and Daughters of American Revolution. She was a banker, a nurse, a homemaker and above all, a faithful servant of God. Molly enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, gardener, photographer, musician, avid reader, volunteer, meditation leader, prayer warrior, adventurer, traveler and shopper! She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stucker, and sisters, Patsy Dean and Joanne Wickman. She is survived by sons, Dan Stucker of Hotchkiss, CO and Dean Stucker of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Diane Barrett of La Quinta, CA; sister, Paula Patchett of Medford, OR; five grandchildren, Michelle Stucker-Wik of Tucson, AZ; Johnathan Stucker of Kaysville, UT; Crystal Stucker of Clarksburg, MD; Elizabeth Stevens of Sacramento, CA, and Chad Divine of Spokane, WA; and nine great-grandchildren, Maui, Oakley, and Paisley Stucker, Adam and Connor Wik, Hudson and Cash Stevens, and Avery and Jude Divine. Visitation will take place on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505, from 2 - 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 27, 2017, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Orchard Mesa Cemetery, Calvary section, Grand Junction, CO.
