Joy Dorlac was born September 11, 1929, in Englewood. She went home March 17th in Englewood. Her parents were Louie and Ferne Wilson. She had two older brothers, Louie "Junior" and Raymond. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1946, and attended the Lamont School of Music at DU, majoring in Music Education, graduating in 1950. She married John October 18, 1953, and started a family. They had a daughter, Greta, and a son, Louie, and were married 53 years. Joy worked at Lowry AFB for 35 years retiring as an Avionics Technical Writer in 1985. In 1987, John and Joy moved to Grand Junction. Music continued to be a big part of their life. Most knew them because of that. Services will be at Bullock Mortuary, 1375 E. Hampden, Englewood, March 23rd, 1:00. She is predeceased by the love of her life; both parents; both brothers, and her son. She is survived by her daughter, Greta Lea (David), their three sons, Chris (Michelle), Matthew (Kristine), and Shane, and Louie’s sons, Steven and Johnathon (Krystal) and two greatgranddaughters, Riley and Ariya.
