Blanche Charlotte Tracy, 100, of 2901 N. 12th, died October 29, in Mesa Manor Care Center. She was the widow of O.F. Tracy, a farmer-rancher in the Gypsum area, who died there in 1926. Mrs. Tracy was the last surviving charter member of the Crater Rebekah Lodge in Gypsum, and a member of the Christian Church there. She had lived in Grand Junction since 1949. Mrs. Tracy was born Blanche Downing on July 23, 1880, in Council Bluffs, lowa, and spent her early life there. The Tracys were married in Council Bluffs in 1895. They traveled to the Gunnison area two years later by covered wagon. They also had lived in Eagle, for a time. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. R.C. (Leah) Staley of Grand Forks, N.D., Mrs. LeRoy (Lola) Borah of Sterling, Mrs. J.J. (Frances) Flynn of Grand Junction, Mrs. Paul (Hazel) Hawkins of Carlsbad, Calif., and Mrs. Clyde (Blanche) Kyes of Rapid City, S.D.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services were held Saturday in the Callahan-Edfast Chapel, with the Rev. Sam Day of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Gypsum Cemetery, Gypsum, with graveside rites conducted by Crater Rebekah Lodge Number 105.
