William "Bill" White

Bill White was born in Canton,
Ohio. His home coming was at
Grand Junction’s VA Hospital
December 30, 2020.
He married Jean Gladfelter
in 1948, and their 72 year love
affair lasted until Jean passed in
2020.
His life was grounded on
three pillars; Faith, Family and Country. Bill enlisted in the Navy
in 1948, and their family including children, Tom, Bob, and Sue
moved multiple times; their last station was Southern California.
Bill retired after 24 years with the Navy.
Bill and Jean moved to Longmont, CO, in 1992, to be near Sue
and her five daughters. Bill was very active in their church. In
2015 Jean began a steady battle with dementia, which ultimately
required a Memory Care facility and Bill’s move to live with Sue
and husband, Mark.
They moved to the “Bestern Slope” in 2017. During Bill’s life
his interests included sports and conservative politics. He sang
competitively in Barbershop Quartets across the country. Bill’s full
life was truly blessed. He is survived by his three children, five
grand and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bill led a faith filled life. His walk with Christ was unmistakable.
He modeled forgiveness, unconditional love, and joy.
