Our father, Earl Everett
Dutton, passed away on
December 19, 2021, at the
Veterans Hospital at the
age of 87.
Earl was born August
13, 1934, to IE and Helen
Dutton, of Grand Junction.
He graduated from Grand
Junction High School in 1954. After graduating, Earl
joined the US Navy and served as a Class 3 Gunners
Mate on the USS Shelton from 1954 to 1958. On April
26, 1961, Earl married the love of his life, Maryann
Weaver. They were married for 60 years.
Earl worked for City Market where he was a
warehouseman before finally retiring with Williams
Company as a Measurement Technician. He loved
hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. He also had a
passion for collecting firearms, and leather work.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, wife,
and grandson, Christopher Dutton.
Earl is survived by sister, Leona Galyean; sons, Kevin
(Gail) Dutton, of Mack, Colorado; Clark (Traci) Kelley,
of Clifton, Colorado; Jon Dutton, of Grand Junction,
Colorado, his only daughter, Candy Dutton, of Grand
Junction, Colorado; several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life later next year.
