Lydall Wayne Beach,
aged 86, passed away
February 11, 2022, at the
VA Hospital.
Born April 10, 1935, in
Lamar, CO, he was the
son of the late Wayne and
Perth (Johnson) Beach.
When Lydall was still a
boy they moved to a farm
on California Mesa near
Delta, CO.
He graduated from Delta
High School in Delta, CO.
After graduation he served
in the US Army.
Lydall married the
love of his life, Charlene
Faye Widner, on November 2, 1956. They raised two
children.
He retired from the Kaiser Steel Mill in Fontana,
CA, where he worked as an Equipment Operator. After
retirement he and Charlene moved back to Colorado
where he worked part time as a handyman for many
years.
He loved basketball, yard sales, ice cream, and
attention getting caps. Some of his great-grandchildren
called him “Corndad” after one of his great-grandsons
had a hard time saying “Grandad”. He loved it!
Lydall was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene;
his parents, and sisters, Doris Leonard and Joan Doyle.
He is survived by his brother, Glenn (Anne) Beach,
of Grand Terrace, CA; sister, Bonnie Ledesma, of
Delta, CO; daughter, Lori (Randy) Cairns, of San
Bernardino, CA; son, Kyle (Diawn) Beach, of Clifton;
six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
