Leslie Haller, Jr. passed
away at his home in Grand
Junction on March 15,
2022.
Les Jr. “Bud”, son of
Leslie Haller Sr. and Elva
(Clark) Haller was born
November 30, 1931, in Fruita, Colorado. He graduated
from Fruita Union High School, where he played
football and basketball in 1950.
He was drafted into the Army during the Korean
Conflict and was later honorably discharged (1953).
Upon returning home, he married Doris, and had sons,
David, Warren, and Randy. They were later divorced. In
1976, he married his soulmate, Nina Criswell.
Les worked for Mays Concrete until he retired. In his
free time Les enjoyed gardening, and could grow the
best tomatoes around, and spending time at his cabin
fishing and 4-wheeling. He was well liked by all and
loved to make people smile. He also loved to dance and
enjoyed polka music. To Les, family was everything.
He is survived by his sons, David, Warren, and
Randy; sister, Elva (Betts); granddaughters, Amy,
Heidi, Stephanie, Wendy, and Kendall, and many greatgrandchildren.
Services will be at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Friday,
April 1, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a burial service at
New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita.
