WIlliam Henry "Bill" George was born April 21, 1850, in Cooper County, Missouri. His family moved to Valley View, Cooke County, Texas, to help his arthritis or rheumatism. While he was living in Valley View, Texas, Bill George met and married Charity Elizabeth "Libbie" Forster. They married on October 23, 1873, in Cooke County, Texas. -- The Gates Genealogy
