Mr. Stokes worked on the Homestake Dam project, along with Harry Snyder (Whitey), Kelly Bissell, Sy Piedmont (Project Manager), Chuck Kincaid, Van Wiley (Safety), Harry Lentz, Jack Trepto, Buster Beck (Drill & Powder Foreman). The work crews lived in trailer homes at Pando.
