Cordilia "Cordy" Lovato standing in her yard in Red Cliff, November 2012. She was 90 years old at the time. She and her husband, Virgilio "Red" Lovato, moved to Red Cliff from New Mexico.

She was a volunteer at Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 1957 and American Legion Post No. 37. She was a committee member of the Mesa County Democratic Party
