All Eagle Valley Library District locations will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024 in observance of Memorial Day. Regular library hours will resume Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

A back view of "Kate's place," the Strohm residence in Gypsum [2nd and Eagle Streets]. George Strohm bought the former Poor Farm in 1939 for $5,000. The Poor Farm provided assistance to the elderly, disabled and homeless before Social Security, Medicare, etc., and was situated on land that now is the location for the Town Park and Bertroch subdivision.
