All Eagle Valley Library District locations will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2024 in observance of Memorial Day. Regular library hours will resume Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

The cities of Colorado Springs and Aurora sponsored the development of a dam and reservoir that would provide each city with 37,000 acre feet (approximately twelve billion gallons) of water per year. Ultimately, the decision was up to communities using the water on the Western Slope.
