Arthur "Art" Stremme stands near a fence in Gypsum. Stremme was a member of the first graduating class of the Eagle County High School. His father, Theodore Stremme, owned the Stremme Store and served as the postmaster for Gypsum from 1905 to 1935.

The scrapbook was completed as a youth citizens' league project between 1954-1955. A cow with a bridle can be seen grazing between the aspens. The photograph is damaged and cracked, an example of how detrimental heavyweight paper can be to aging photographs.
