In 1951, a commemorative envelope and stamp were issued through the Minturn, Colorado post office celebrating the 75th anniversary of Colorado. The stamp prominently features Mount of the Holy Cross, a national historic site at the time. This envelope is unused and was saved for posterity.

On August 1, 1951, a stamp commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Colorado statehood was released. The stamp featured the Colorado statehouse and also the iconic Mount of the Holy Cross. Special editions were released in Minturn, Colorado on this date and this particular envelope is from the first day of issue.

A letter from Mrs. Winifred Ginther to Mrs. Edna (Edward) Michael. The Michaels owned and operated a feed mill and livery in Eagle until the business was sold in 1920. This letter, dated 1926, shows the Michaels in Englewood, Colorado, and keeping in touch with Eagle County friends.
