A letter written by Y. B. P. to Joe McDonell, dated October 19, 1898, from Telluride. The letter is written on letterhead for The New Sheridan hotel. The New Sheridan is located in Telluride and is still in operation, having first opened its doors in 1895, following a fire that destroyed the first Sheridan Hotel. It is unknown who Y. P. B. or Joe McDonell were, nor is it clear what their connection to the Doll Brothers was.

The letter's are written on letterhead for The Bon Ton, Confectionary, Cigars, Tobacco. Peter Barth's letter is written in German, and has been translated to English. M.E. Williams resided in Gillett, and was a barber. Peter Barth moved to Eagle County, and interacted with the Doll Brothers and Alfred Borah.

George Doll was the father of Hiram, Sam, Zachariah, and Frank Doll. Frank and Samuel were ranchers and horsemen in the Gypsum Valley, Doll Brothers & Condon Ranch.
