A view of the dining room in La Cave, a former French restaurant in Vail. La Cave was opened on New Year's Eve 1963, by Jim Slevin. It was a popular restaurant for dinnertime meals and was located in the basement of the Plaza Lodge. Slevin sold La Cave in 1968 to Peter Cremaris.

A letter from Mrs. Winifred Ginther to Mrs. Edna (Edward) Michael. The Michaels owned and operated a feed mill and livery in Eagle until the business was sold in 1920. This letter, dated 1926, shows the Michaels in Englewood, Colorado, and keeping in touch with Eagle County friends. An interior view of the lobby and dining room of Shrine Lodge. Shrine Lodge was located in Red Cliff. It's slogan was that it was the "Starting place for Mt. Holy Cross." The lodge opened on June 10, 1928. Josephine Stevenson was the first proprietor of the lodge. She sold the lodge in September of 1943, to Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Malmborg of Chicago.
