Loading up for transportation to lower levels in the mine. The 16-10 incline goes down to the 18 level (at one time it went all the way to the 24 level). Transporting people was called a mantrip. Quinton Sagrillo performing maintenance on the new zinc dryer. Sagrillo was a dryer operator for New Jersey Zinc. Sagrillo served in World War I and then lived in Telluride and Denver. He and his wife Rose then managed the State Agricultural Farm Experiment Station at Avon for four years. He accepted employment with New Jersey Zinc, working there for 20 years before retiring in 1959.

Path of the mud flow from the 1919 landslide at Belden. The cribbing at the top left of the photo is broken and the mud flows around some buildings, over additional cribbing, over the railroad tracks, and into the Eagle River at the bottom. The flow parallels the path of the tram to Gilman, which was not damaged.
