Alfred Benson's log cabin (hewn inside) on Shrine Pass FSR (Forest Service Road) 709. His skid horse in harness for pulling logs is standing outside. There are several cabins (log and board), a blacksmith shop and a barn at the site.

Barbara Clark, Eagle County teacher, with Daisy, the horse, at the Bar-Gay Ranch near Edwards, Colorado (at the mouth of Squaw Creek). Ring, the dog (previously owned by Tom Pearch), is standing next to Mrs. Clark.
The Bar-Gay Ranch was originally the Hawley place. Gaylord and Barbara Clark bought the house and outbuildings; the land was a school section which they leased for 99 years.

Bill Moore, an electrician for Empire Zinc Co., Gilman, wearing leather chaps, mounted on a horse. They're standing in front of a building on Monument St. in Red Cliff. Moore died Dec. 25, 1953, after a family shooting at Gilman on Christmas Eve 1953.

Blanche Dump holding the reins of a horse on which Ruby Dump is sitting. Victor Dump is ready to catch Ruby should she fall. The family is at their ranch at Pando, Colorado. Ranch buildings are visible in the background.
Victor Dump died in 1935 and the family stayed on the ranch for another year before moving to Red Cliff. Frank and Pauline Reynolds Byers took over the Pando ranch and lived there until the Army constructed Camp Hale on the site...

Broadway in Eagle. The building on the right was built by the First National Bank of Eagle County. The two story half of the building was occupied by general merchandise stores (F. Hugus and Co.; later, the Lewis store); the one story side by the bank.
The line of wagons and carriages may be a parade.

1910-1920: Looking northeast, Broadway Street. Front of E. E. Glenn & Co. General Merchandise clearly visible; Post Office sign on side of building. People (dressed as if for special event) gathered in front of store with wagons and horses.
The bay windowed house to the right of the E. E. Glenn & Co. building was occupied by Alex Macdonell and family beginning in 1951. Mr. Macdonell was working for Holy Cross Electric out of Glenwood Springs...
11) Buchholz Mesa

The Buchholz homestead on Buchholz Mesa. Nicholas is at the far left; Mary is wearing a hat and standing near the door. John, Mary Louise and Beulah Buchholz are also in the picture. There are mounted riders at far right and cattle at midground.
Buchholz Mesa was sold to E. M. Tabor and Nick and John opened a livery business in Eagle.

"Sheephorn riders at the Clarence Rundell ranch in the spring of 1915. From left to right they are: Dr. Sidell (a Craig dentist), Bill Tester, Clarence Rundell, Frank McMillan (an early day rancher from Burns), Charley Gutsler, Carl Forster, Ward Ross and Bill Traber. The large modern ranch house, a little unusual at that early date, can be atrributed to the purchase of a herd of Egeria Park cattle, just before World War One broke out and cattle prices...
