Andy married Ouida Lucille Gerard, the daughter of George Nathaniel Gerard who came to Gypsum with his brother, Andrew Robert Gerard, from Indiana.

Alexander Allen was born in Lanarkshire, Scotland on March 8, 1841. His family emigrated to the United States, making their way to Colorado before the turn of the century. He died in Olive Springs, TN on January 10, 1931.
