The lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Gypsum, after a December 15,1990, late night fire. According to Fire Chief, Dave Vroman, the blaze was traced to a furnace recently installed. First Lutheran Church of Gypsum and Mount of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Vail took over ownership of the structure in 1989. Members were remodeling the structure to convert it into a parish hall.

Shared marker for: "Wilson, William L., 1889--1959; Katherine M., 1890--1976," Riverview Cemetery. A Masonic symbol is engraved at the left corner of the marker; an Eastern Star symbol is engraved at the right corner. Flowers are engraved at the center of the marker.

Shared marker for: "Lottie, March 18,1865--Nov. 3,1939, and James Collins, Sept. 1, 1861 --March 1,1921," Greenwood Cemetery. Wheat is sculpted at the top of the marker and a flower is in the lower lefthand corner. A Masonic symbol is over James' name; an Eastern Star symbol is over Lottie's name.

"FLT stands for Friendship, Love, Truth, three degrees associated with the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The Odd Fellows, first organized in the US in 1819, is a popular fraternal/benefit organization. The emblem of the Odd Fellows is usually shown as three links of a chain.
